Common questions before you buy
What riders most often want to know before the amConnect lands in the basket.
Does amConnect® fit my motorcycle?
The adapter plugs into the diagnostic connector (DLC). Whether your model is supported is listed in the compatibility list in the online shop.
Do I have to change anything in the wiring?
No. amConnect® plugs in without special tools, plug & play, and can be pulled out again at any time.
Is it allowed on public roads?
Yes. The adapter is type-approved by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority and is therefore approved for use on public roads.
Which smartphones are supported?
The amVision® app is available for iOS and Android. The link to the adapter is wireless, with no cable on the handlebars.
Do I need an account?
Not for the amVision app. With an amVision® Account your settings, rides, races and diagnostic sessions are synced and stand ready in amVision® Web.
Are CarPlay and Android Auto supported?
Apple’s and Google’s rules for CarPlay and Android Auto rule out a freely designed instrument display there. For animated round instruments and the full telemetry visualisation you use the app directly on your smartphone.
Tip: if you prefer a permanently mounted display on the handlebars, there are standalone Android displays on which amVision can be installed directly as a native app — the Carpuride W702 PLUS or the Aoocci U6 and U7 models, for example.
